Our Pastor
Pastor Daniel Babinec
Originally from Wisconsin, Pastor Babinec graduated from Martin Luther College in 2009 and received his Master of Divinity degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2013. His first call was to St. John’s and Zum Kripplein Christi Lutheran Churches of Iron Ridge, Wisconsin.
In September of 2005, Pastor met his future bride, Angilena (Angie) Eastman, from Midland, MI. The couple was joined in holy marriage on December 30, 2006. They have three children.
The Lord called Angie home to heaven after a battle with cancer in January of 2020.
Pastor is an avid fan of all Wisconsin sports teams, especially the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers – but he prays that the Lion, Tiger, and Wolverine/Spartan fans won’t hold any of this against him. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and camping.
Pastor was installed on January 14th, 2018 to serve Good Shepherd and St. John's. He loves to meet and talk to people and is loves to make contacts and friends in the Gladwin and Beaverton area. He is also looking forward to the Lord’s rich blessings as the St. John’s and Good Shepherd congregations work together to proclaim the saving gospel of sins forgiven through the saving work of Jesus Christ.
